![]() (Have heard this was what was necessary, but have no experience in this arena. What I'd REALLY like to do is take my old Nokia cellphone to our ATT rep and see if he will "crack" it for us so we can (?) buy a prepaid SIM card in Aruba and use THAT as our call-home phone. Haven't done it on iPhone (and am not a big fan of the phone itself for actually "calling" anyone) yet. You can call anywhere if you have Skype and the minutes are very inexpensive - we used this to call Italy a few years ago and the sound quality was actually quite good on a PC. Skype is a great way to connect easily and cheaply with friends and family in Australia and around the world. Sherban, you got it - Skype-Skype means that both users have SOME form of Skype access. or less it seems.? (Not that we want to spend much time with anyone on the phone with beautiful beaches and fine dining at hand!) *jk* But we can buy minutes on Skype, as I understand it, and call them in the USA for. The in-laws do not have Internet access & are as "technologically dinosaur-ific" as humanly possible, and their one mobile is so old it has a rotary dial. Our location for 2011 apparently offers the service as well, so we'll see. We had mixed results MVC last year, but that was internet only - it was also with a PSP, and we did not attempt Skype. :) The big ? is consistency of wi-fi access.
